I was born in El Centro, California on the 12th of January 1965. I am either fifth or sixth of nine kids. Why did I phrase it like that? I am a twin and I do not know which of us came first. She is no longer with us, but I still refer to myself as a twin. I presently reside in Jonesboro, AR, which is also the place of Arkansas State University from which I received my bachelor's in Criminology in 1992. I have been employed with the State of Arkansas, Department of Community Correction as a Drug Court Advisor, Judicial Drug Court for over twenty years. I am a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (ADC). I can recall the very first poem I wrote, and it was while I was in college. I called it "Educate My Education" and the rest is history. I have since used that same title and turned that poem into a monologue. Over the years, I am astonished how easily writing is for me, it is a passion. I realized it is not me, but a talent God has loaned me. Please continue to visit my website to see poems written by me and excerpts from not only "Stop Me When I'm Lying" but also "Tender Moments."
